The Year 2006
The year 2006 has come and gone, in what seems an inordinate amount of time.
We set out to achieve 3 items during the year, those were
Create a new Website, this has been achieved, due to Kimberley’s hard work.
Achieve a Gender Recognition Certificate (GRC) in Queensland for all those, residing here but born abroad, or those who cannot have SRS as it would be life threatening. Unfortunately, we have been unable to achieve this as there have been many changes of Attorney-General in the past months.
We have however, after 20 months of trying to find a way to open a pathway for those born in UK but residing abroad to be able to achieve their GRC and new Birth Certificate (BC). This is now there for all born in UK and living abroad. It is the “Case by Case Basis” and details can be found in the Advocacy section of this website.
Lastly, we have now put onto the website a booklet that has been devised by members of Changeling Aspects, a FtM and some significant others. This can be found in Articles, under the title “Transsexuals’ Experiences”
As to 2007, well, we will wait to see what develops as we have had to cut back our services due to lack of funds and also the number of people willing to be involved as we have lost Jenny to her job. Good luck Jenny and hope that all goes really well for you.
Lastly, may I wish you all a very belated Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2007.
