Self Medication
Self medication is not a subject that should be considered, or even entered into lightly!
Have you considered the problems that could and can ensue? Have you had blood tests to determine that your renal system will not be affected by the drugs and Hormones you are about to put into your body? Who is going to monitor the affects on your whole system?
Most of these will alter your body so that in 6 months or so, they become set and cannot be reversed. Who sets the dosage, you? Is it the right dose for your metabolism, or are you on a collision course with trouble?
If you get it wrong, who is going to pick up the pieces? GP, Endocrinologist, Emergency Room and your family?
Are you aware of the side affects of these drugs and hormones, how by overdosing you exacerbate the problems? So you arrive earlier at your goal, but at what long lasting affects? Drugs and Hormones can be lethal if not taken under strict supervision by a qualified practitioner (Endocrinologist)
Is it really worth a life time of misery, especially if you are not just self medicating, but self diagnosing as well, for all the wrong reasons! Have you been tested for Gender Identity Disorder and Transsexualism, or are you guessing, as it seems like a good idea at the time? If it is a mistake, who will you blame, as I very seldom find that people take the blame themselves, but always look for someone else to place the blame with!
I have 5 friends who have hormone related problems, even though they were under supervision concerning their Oestrogen dosage. Only one started out self dosing, but started supervised medication before SRS.
None of the 5 can now take Oestrogen because of the affects they have suffered.
Clotting, DVT, Embolisms, Bi-Lateral Femoral Arterial Deterioration, Stroke and Heart Attack.
All 5 are lucky to be alive.
Really you could say they are the extremely lucky ones!

Liver
-
Kidneys
Before embarking on taking Drugs and Hormones, which we need in order to change.
