Interesting
In the Roberta Cowell book she actually states that “It has taken me 3 years to become entirely adjusted to being a woman. It was comparatively easy to accept my new face and body, although I feel sometimes as if my mind had been transplanted into another person. But it was not easy to accept my altered temperament or my new general out look and interests” This I can understand, as it took me 2 years post SRS to come to terms fully with what I now was. It also meant an awful lot to learn about now being fully female, or at least as fully as I can ever be! Also on Hildegarde Neff she writes “She is a good example of the type of woman who is feminine enough to be attractive to men, but still has a touch of masculinity that women like so much” On leaving hospital in 2003, I was given a note by one of the female nurses which has intrigued me up until now. The note says “It’s because you have a little ‘Male’ in you that can/will/does make you a very attractive personality to women” I have never understood what she wrote, until reading Roberta Cowell’s book. I think I now have a better understanding, but still do not see how this is supposed to work! Kathy Anne Noble. 16/02/2007 |
